For nearly a decade, Mike & Nathan at VIP Creative has been your go-to crew for bringing commercial, corporate, and creative brand projects to life. We’ve loved every second of it. Working in power stations, schools, with small and large businesses and even in prison! But over the last year, behind the scenes, we’ve been quietly pouring our hearts into a major passion project.
Today, we are absolutely thrilled to officially introduce you to our brand new sister company: Northern Wedding Films.
From Commercial Sets to Breathtaking Love Stories
While VIP Creative will continue to be the home for your business broadcasts, branding videos, and commercial content, we realised that our love wedding storytelling deserved a dedicated space.
As a creative duo based right here in Hull, we’re bringing a combined 35 years of professional production experience away from the commercial sets and straight onto the wedding day. A long time before VIP Creative, Mike & Nathan used to work as a photography and video team on weddings across Yorkshire. What we’ve always realised is that most couples don’t want their big day treated like an over-produced, stressful corporate shoot. They want something real and without being told what to do, just for an overall film style.

The core philosophy behind Northern Wedding Films is simple: Northern Creativity meets Cinematic Soul.
We’ve all seen wedding videos that feel forced, overly staged, or awkwardly directed. That is the exact opposite of what we do. Our documentary-style approach means we don’t turn a wedding into a movie set. We simply capture the day exactly as it naturally unfolds. We use our creative skills and high end filming equipment to capture your day in a cinematic way.
From the quiet, nervous anticipation of the morning prep to the absolute, chaotic joy of the dance floor, we focus entirely on the unscripted moments. We stay almost invisible, letting couples forget the cameras are even there so they can focus on their favourite people and enjoy one of the biggest days of their lives.
We never stop the flow. We don’t stage your emotions. We just document the real stuff. And we get on with the photographer too. After all, it’s what we know best!

Because we’ve spent over 9 years building a reputation for transparency and high production value at VIP Creative and even longer developing our crafts. We wanted to bring that exact same clarity and dedication to the wedding industry. We know planning a wedding comes with enough confusing tiers and hidden fees, so we’ve kept things incredibly straightforward.
With Northern Wedding Films, you get both of us on-site covering multiple angles, from the morning preparations until well after the first dance. No random freelancers (unless absolutely crucial). Just the trusted team you already know, bringing cinematic films, drone footage, and a bite-sized highlight reel to life.
