FAQ's

Event photography involves capturing photographs of guests, activities, and the overall atmosphere during an event such as weddings, corporate gatherings, concerts, festivals, parties, and conferences. The goal is to document the event and create lasting memories which can be used for internal comms, marketing and PR.

Photography ensures a thorough documentation of the event as a reminder over time. These photos can be used for promotional purposes, marketing materials, social media, and as keepsakes to evoke nostalgia for attendees.

Planning is incredibly important and it is advised to speak to us at least a couple of months in advance to the event.

  • Planning: Discuss the event schedule, key moments, and specific shots desired with the photographer. We need to know these moments so we can have a photographer in place. If we don’t have these we may be capturing something else and miss a key moment.
  • Logistics: Ensure the photographer has as much access to the venue and any necessary credentials. We may need branded hi-vis jackets for example.
  • Lighting: Inform the photographer of the venue’s lighting conditions. We have portable flash units but sometimes these cannot be used, especially if they distract the audience.
  • Shot List: Provide a list of must-have shots, such as important specific guests, key activities, and decor details. The more in depth the list the less we will miss that is important to you.

In addition to our cameras we will usually bring external on-board flash units with us.

We generally like to bring two photographers to each event but we will discuss this with you depending on the event. Small events might require just one photographer, while larger events like weddings or conferences might benefit from multiple photographers to ensure comprehensive coverage. We’ve found through experience that two photographers will capture a more varied selection and will miss less as the day unfolds.

Turnaround times can vary but typically range from a few days to a couple of weeks. We generally give a two week minimum as we are usually working on multiple projects at a time.

If you are looking at an express turnaround, we can offer this at an additional cost.

Yes. We always edit the selected photos to enhance colour, lighting, and composition. The extent of editing can vary based on the event and it’s length.

We typically deliver our images via Dropbox as optimised web images and as full resolution images. This gives you the option to print images and use them on your websites, blogs and social media.

Costs vary based on the event’s duration, location (travel and accommodation),and specific client requirements. It’s important to discuss your needs with us and agree on pricing before the event.

Absolutely. You can request specific shots or poses and we will endeavour to get these. Providing a detailed shot list will help us understand your priorities and ensures that all important moments are captured.

We will agree a time scale and any additional coverage for an additional fee. It’s best to discuss potential overtime charges and arrangements in advance. We are always transparent with our costs.

We are very good at blending into the background and capturing candid moments without being intrusive. Were also very friendly and like to make guests and the public feel comfortable. We will never photograph anyone who requests and will always delete photographs on request if it makes a guest uncomfortable.
